16/Mar/2010We had a fabulous time in Casa de la burra. We are a young couple from London who were looking for a quiet retreat far away from the hustle and bustle of the holiday resorts. Casa de la burra was perfect for that offering a very different holiday experience. A car is vital as there is so much to see on the island. We recommend to listen to the little hints that marta gives and you will discover the most scenic and romantic patches on the island. Marta went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. The house was charming, well equipped and clean. This place is ideal for people who like to be independent. We had a great time sourcing our food from local shops and cooking our own tapas feasts and BBQs. There wasn’t a day in the seven days, that we stayed at Casa de la burra that we didn’t experience a new scenic location on the island. That’s the good thing about being located centrally on the island.
So as long as you are willing to drive on some crazy mountain roads with amazing vistas and want to avoid the noisiness of the resorts we can thoroughly recommend spending some time at Casa de la Burra.
